Floral Tapestry Tam
Floral Tapestry - tam
This design was inspired by one of the sketches I drew during my travels to Peru in 2014. It is based on a flower with 4 petals in a pattern with 4 complementary shades. Each repeat of the flower is worked in a different shade, half-shifted from the previous repeat, with a dotted motif in another bold shade in-between. When knitted up, the final result reminded me of a carpet, with the brim playing the framing role of the carpet border.
