Pattern Description from Interweave Online Store: “Inspired by a class she took from Katharine Cobey on knitting a “foraging bag,” Pam Allen designed this ample sac with two shades of hand-dyed yarn and an intarsia pattern inspired by a floral motif she found in a book on Turkish rugs.

The circle base is knitted in the round from the center outward. The live stitches are then worked back and forth for the body, and continue upward for the straps, which are beautifully embellished with climbing vines. The edges are finished with crochet and the bag is lined so that it can hold a days worth of gatherings without stretching out of shape. For added stability, line the strap as well.“
