Floral
Floral has a rhythm that pulls you in and a size that makes a statement.
Worked in fingering weight yarn, this crescent shawl alternates lace and garter stitch, building into a sweeping piece with beautiful drape.
The lace holds your focus. The garter stitch gives you room to breathe. And the picot bind-off adds a final touch. It’s a satisfying knit with a striking result.
Light and lofty, Floral slips easily around the neck for everyday wear and drapes beautifully over the shoulders when you dress it up.
YARN
Two skeins of Frida Fuchs Schnieke Single (70% merino wool, 30% silk; 400 m / 437 yds per 100 g). Shown in colour Sesam.
Or approximately 756 m / 827 yds of similar fingering weight yarn.
NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size to obtain pattern gauge
This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using 80 – 100 cm / 32 – 40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
