Floating Shells
The sea has always been an attraction for me, it may be because I’m a Cancerian, a water sign. I love looking out the window while
contemplating new designs and I’m lucky enough to live on the coast where the gorgeous ocean colours and shapes inspire me. The outer skirt of this design is reminiscent of pretty shells and the inner skirt gives the impression of floating in the water.
Floating Shells is a double layered skirt worked with both yarns held together for the waistband. The yarns are then separated and used alone for the two skirts. The waistband is worked flat and then joined. The remainder is worked in the round. The waistband is fastened with buttons at the back.
