First, a Fable Cardigan is a densely cabled cardigan with a generous funnel collar that is fully lined for structure and versatility. The design incorporates many thoughtful details that not only create a polished piece, but also an entertaining knit. Central to these details is the cabled button band that integrates the button holes directly into the cabling.

Yardage:

• Approx. 1200 (1300, 1440, 1560, 1640, 1720, 1860, 1950) yds / 1097 (1189, 1317, 1427, 1500, 1573, 1701, 1784) m of MC.
• Approx. 100 (100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 120, 120) yds / 92 (92, 92, 92, 92, 92, 110, 110) m of CC.

Needles: US Size 8 (5 mm), or size necessary to obtain gauge. Circular needle recommended but not essential.

Notions: Tapestry needle, 8 - 10 28 mm buttons, matching sewing thread & sewing needle.

Gauges:

• 16 sts & 22 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Stockinette Stitch, wet blocked.
• 19 sts & 23 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Body Cable Pattern, wet blocked.
