Supplies: D/2 – 3.25 mm Hook (for tighter stitches)
2 ball Medium 4 ply, 6 oz./170 g yarn

White yarn (4 ply or smaller) for teeth
Medium 4 ply. 6 oz./170 g yarn

16 Gauge Wire – could vary slightly
depending on crochet tension

PolyFill Stuffing – to stuff body as you
progress (SEE NOTES IF USING WIRE)
Eyes (2) - Post Animal Eyes
Nostrils (2) – polly fill for each to
represent smoke
Nail Polish – clear for stiffening teeth
and nails
Tapestry Needle – for sewing
Pliers/Wire Cutters – for cutting wire
and bending over ends

Chop Stick to aide in stuffing after
inserting wire
Yarn for fire in the mouth and tiny bit of
stuffing for smoke in nose and fire in

Stitches and Terms:

Increase (Inc) 2 stitches same space
Decrease (Dec) complete 2 spaces as
one – start stitch in 2 spaces, complete

Short Row – complete number of
stitches, slip stitch next marker space,
turn. Work short row between
markers (if noted sc to get to correct
starting point)
Sc # = how many spaces to sc in
#Sc = how many sc in next space

NOTE: Crochet both loops from stitch placement of inside to outside of circle unless stated differently. Markers are used to show changes easier
– move markers up each row as needed for clarification

Stuffing: If not using wire – stuff as you progress. With wire, make a loop in end of wire for the body – place in body before you start working in opposite direction - tack loop made at end of wire to nose, stuff body to this point, crochet last of tail around the outside of wire, bend loop at end and tack in end of tail.
