This is a wonderful project for learning edging as well as practicing increases and decreases. The shawl is worked side to side: increase for almost half of the shawl, work even for a few rows, then decrease for the remainder of the shawl. It is worked in one continuous piece, and the edging is knit simultaneously with the body.

The crescent shaped shawl is easy to wear and therefore makes wonderful gifts.
