The FIFTY-FOUR cowl is constructed like a shawl, a quick and fun knit that creates a lightweight accessory for those transitional seasons where a heavier shawl or cowl would be too warm, but a bare neck is not an option. The bandana style and cowl shape make it a super wearable accessory.

The instructions include three body designs, six border options and three edge finishes to create fifty-four different combinations. Factor in the thousands of beautiful yarns available, and you have infinite possibilities! For the adventurous, this pattern can also provide a jumping off point for designing your own borders and incorporating different stitch patterns to make a truly unique cowl.

The FIFTY-FOUR cowl is also an amazing scrap-buster! The entire cowl uses just under 40 grams of fingering or sock yarn, perfect for mini skeins, leftovers and bits and pieces. Grams and yardage estimates are provided for each of the different options for each section.
