Feo’s Crossover was inspired by a photo taken by Alexandra Feo. She took a small scarf of mine and folded and tucked it into a little cowl. I loved the look so thought I would use it with this great stitch.

This pattern uses reverse and plain Stockinette Brioche Stitch. Stockinette brioche is worked like normal stockinette knitting; all of the stitches on one side are brioche knits and on the other side brioche purls. This will not make a ribbed fabric. It lays much flatter and has a much different drape and no one will guess that it’s brioche.

With the addition of a undulating cable on the one side, you get a real 3D quality. On the reverse side of the cowlette, you get a completely different appearance. Both sides are equally beautiful and yet so different from each other. It’s a fun knit for sure.

The cowl uses ± 60 grams of yarn in total. The BONUS wrist warmers pattern uses a bit of your left over yarns (total of 26 grams) to help keep you warm.
