This quick­-­knit beauty is first knit to fit and then felted several inches narrower for a stiff body and snug lacing. The corset panels are knit sideways and shaped with short rows. The garter stitch edges, seamed together, give a boned effect when felted. A wool-blend yarn facilitates lazy machine felting, and the non­-­felted portions create an unusual, nubby tweed ­effect.
