Farmer's Field Afghan
My farmer friend says this looks like farmers’ fields from the air: hence the name, which is as good as any I could come up with!
This afghan, as written, requires 2 skeins in each of 6 colours, but you could use as few as 2 … or any number of colours.
It also requires 4 very long needles—to use as holders. I used interchangeables to provide this function: you could use long circulars. They don’t need to be the same size as your working needle, but they should be not a larger size.
All piece are attached as you go, and there is no seaming.
The pattern includes a drawing from which the pattern could be knit, if you choose to avoid the written instructions.
I show 2 versions, each using 6 colours, and each using Cascade 220: one in the usual yarn and one in super wash.
You could, of course, only knit with 1 skein of each of 6 colours to make a much smaller blanket.
And there are 2 border instructions available, one using less yarn--in case you are close to running out!
