Fancy Guppy Skirt
I am always looking for projects that use my left over yarns that I accumulate in various amounts, being an avid knitter and all. I also always loved Missoni designs, their crazy color combinations, and their oh so famous stripes. The idea to create Missoni inspired designs has haunted me since last spring, so I finally put two and two together, and got this gorgeous skirt as a result.
The skirt is worked entirely in the round from top down. It begins with a provisional cast on, which is used to allow for a knitted on waistband. There is also an option for short rows shaping to allow for tummies or cloth diapers.
The skirt requires very minimal finishing, fun to make and fun to wear!
It is really hard to give the exact yardages required as the pattern is designed to bust as many left over yarns as possible.
Based on the size, you will need about 130-400 yards of MC, and about 25-75 yards of each CC color.
Have fun!
