Worsted-weight yarn: 3-1/2oz/100g (approx 230yds/210m) in bright red (MC); 1-3/4oz/50g each in dark red (A) and light red (B).

This rich zigzag pattern does not require you to work with more than one color at a time. A glance at the bottom of the foot reveals it to be a simple 4-row stripe sequence. It zigs by lengthening some stitches; it zags by working others into stitches two rows below.
