Pattern description from Knit Simple Magazine, Holiday 2006: “A lively new take on the classic ski sweater, this simply constructed zip-up cardigan is knit in one piece to the underarm. The ribbed cuffs and hem reinforce the color base of the Fair Isle yoke.”
Knit Tip: “The ribbed collar folds over to proved a double dollop of warmth.”
Materials:
- Van Dyck by Filtes-King/Needful Yarns, 1¾oz/50g balls, each approx 118yd/108m (wool/acrylic/alpaca)
- 7 (8, 9, 10) balls in #106 beige (MC)
- 1 (2, 2, 2) balls in #142 brown (A)
- 1 ball each in #109 tan (B), #130 khaki (C) and #706 hunter (D)
- Two size 11 (8mm) circular needles, 36”/91cm length or size to obtain gauge
- One set (4) size 11 (8mm) double-pointed needles (dpns)
- One pair size 10 (6mm) needles
- Stitch holders
- Stitch markers
- Separating zipper 32 (32, 33, 33)“/81 (81, 84, 84)cm
Measurements:
- Small (Medium, Large, X-Large)
- Bust 37½ (41, 45, 49)“/95 (104, 114.5, 124.5) cm
- Length 30 (30, 31, 31)“/76 (76, 78.5, 78.5) cm
- Upper arm 13½ (14, 14½, 15½)“/34, (35.5, 37, 39.5)cm
Additional Gauge: 13 sts and 14 rows to 4”/10cm over St st and chart pat using size 11 (8mm) circular needle.
Notes:
- Fronts and back are worked in one piece to armholes.
- Sleeves are worked in the round.
- Yoke is worked in one piece to neck edge.
