Pullover in the original pattern is in two sizes, one for men and one for women. The instructions are given separately. The pattern is illustrated in colour on the front cover, and instructions begin on page 3.

The Men’s Size pattern is included on its own in the Stitchcraft Mens Book, where its name is Fair Isle in 3 Shades, with picture, chart and the beginning of instructions on page 7.

The larger needle size given is Imperial/UK size No. 9, which is between 3.5 mm and 3.75 mm.
