Two hats in one pattern. Fair Isle Friday and Almost Saturday are knitted in the round from brim to crown with DK weight yarn. Starting with 1x1 ribbing (to keep them snugly on your head) and continuing into stripes, they finish with a colourworked top (only ever using two colours at once). They are finished with an optional pompom.

You can work the body of the hat with 40cm circular needles and DPNs to decrease at the crown or work the whole hat using the magic-loop method. The smaller needle size is used to work the ribbing.

For the Fair Isle Friday hat you’ll need 5 colours and you’ll find suggestions for 5 different colourways inspired by British wildlife. For the Almost Saturday hat you need 4 different colours and will find 4 different suggested colourways in the pattern.

The hats are written for one size and will fit differently depending on the circumference of your head. Use the following as a guideline as to how it will look according to your head measurements:
Slouchy: 53-55cm / 21-21¾
Beanie: 56-58cm / 22-22¾”
Snug beanie: 59-61cm / 23¼-24”
(Notes are given for getting you started on adjusting the size.)

Instructions are written and charted for the colourworked section and there’s a schematic for the overall size of the hat. Pattern has been test knitted, tech-edited and professionally laid out to be easy to follow.
