Fable
As the ferns tuck themselves away for evening’s blanket among the aged granite stones, a story is told and a yarn is woven. The sky is still filled with light but the sun has dropped below the horizon, colors and words are much richer in this shade of day. Rich velvet green mosses are velvety against coarse dark wood and verdant buds. Violet Vincas stretch themselves along the ground. Stars will start to emerge from the pale blue metamorphosis, sparkling white against their periwinkle backdrop as words trip and tumble from lips filled with wonder and awe. Mourning doves coo from branches overhead as they settle in for a tale, a fable to fill the heart with wonder.
This pattern is #sizeinclusive
Yardage: 600 725, 800, 900, 1000, 1100, 1225, 1375, 1525 yards/550 650, 725, 825, 925, 1000, 1125, 1250, 1400 meters
Notions: 5 stitch markers, stitch holders or scrap yarn, darning needle for weaving in ends
Notes: This sweater is worked from the top down, flat to start and then joined in the round at center front when neckline shaping is completed. All yarnover increases are closed by working through the back loop on subsequent rows/rounds. Pattern has both finished ribbed edge option as well as raw edge option. I highly suggest only working the raw edge option if your yarn is primarily linen, cotton, or a linen-cotton-hemp blend, as steaming it flat is easily achieved. Wool will roll!
