slip the first stitch, place the bead on the second stitch, return both to the lefthand needle ( if right handed) and then work with the preferred method - this way the bead ends up in the middle.
? To bead the whole shawl in one colour will require approximately 1343 beads.

The shawl measures 60-70cm down the ‘spine’, depending on the yarn, gauge and blocking, having required between 500 and 600m of yarn to finish depending on the gauge and yarn.
