This is the Estrela d’Alva Baby Cardigan.

It’s name was inspired by a traditional portuguese lullaby by Zeca Afonso called “Canção de Embalar”.
Estrela d’Alva (the morning star) symbolises hope and protection to children, the promise of a better future and the safety of the mother figure.

This wrap style cardigan feels like an embrace.
It’s knitted in garter stitch and from the top down.
It features optional short rows in the shoulders and sleeves for a better fit.

This pattern is being tested and will be published in the beginning of September.
