This sweater is worked in the round from the bottom up as far as the underarms where the work is split to work front and back separately. The shoulders are shaped with German short rows and joined by a three-needle cast-off. Stitches are picked up around the armholes and sleeves are worked in the round from the top down. Stitches are picked up around the neck for ribbing. The lace pattern may be worked from chart or written instructions, whichever you prefer.
