The Erika Cowl is knitted flat using a provisional cast on. The seaming is done by the three needle bind off. Both techniques are explained and demonstrated by a photo tutorial. The Erika Cowl is worn wrapped around the neck. It features sections of stockinette stitch and horizontal ribs. The finished cowl has a circumference of approximately 48” (122 cm) so that it does not fit too loosely around your neck and keeps you warm.

Der Schlauchschal “Erika” wird in Hin- und Rückreihen gestrickt. Der Maschenanschlag erfolgt durch einen provisorischen Anschlag, beide Schalenden werden anschließend durch das Abketten mit Hilfe einer dritten Nadeln zusammengestrickt, so dass kein Vernähen notwendig ist. Diese Anschlag- und Abketttechnik werden ab Seite 4 dieser Anleitung bildlich erläutert. Der Schlauchschal hat einen Umfang von 122 cm.
