I truly love a bandana-style cowl with a bit of asymmetry. I wanted to knit a new one up for spring in this gorgeous lavender purple color which reminds me of my mom (purple is her favorite color). She also loves flowers and this piece was inspired by her garden that she loves deeply.
This cowl is for those who really love the look of an asymmetric style shawl and don’t enjoy fussing with styling it. Just pop it on, scrunch it up a bit and off you go!
Cowl is worked flat from the top right corner on a bias by adding stitches on either side for several rows. After the right side is complete, increases continue along the top until that length is reached. Then, it decreases the shape on the left side of the piece. Next, a picot bind-off is worked and the ends are woven in. The piece is then blocked. Once the cowl is dry, left and right sides are seamed together.
