Named for the short-blooming wildflowers of spring, the Ephemeral Shawl mixes two different ombré yarns to create a striped pattern that appears more complex than it is. The shawl is worked as two triangles using different stripe patterns, with the second triangle picked up along the edge of the first.

Yarn GGH Merinella (100% superwash Merino wool; 440 yd 402 m/ 3 ½ oz 100 g): #04 Winery (A) and #10 Denim (B), 1 (2, 2) ball(s) each (see Notes). Yarn distributed by The Trendsetter Yarn Group.
Needles Size 3 (3.25 mm): 32” circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Tapestry needle.
Gauge 21 sts and 42 rows = 4” in garter st.
