Enid’s Miniature Counterpane
Franklin’s beloved dollhouse brims with antique miniature furnishings and handmade textiles. He worked a leaf-in-the-corner motif in linen yarn for maid Enid Poole’s miniature counterpane and finished the coverlet by shrinking the yarn to make the design pop.
Materials
- The Yarn Dynamic Lace-Weight Linen, 100% linen yarn, laceweight, 300 yard (274 m)/1.75 oz (50 gram) skein, 1 skein of Cream
- Needles, size 00000 (1 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
- Tapestry needle
Finished measurements: 4” × 4” (10.2 cm × 10.2 cm); each square measures 3/4” × 3/4” (1.9 cm × 1.9 cm)
Gauge: 44 sts and 88 rows = 4” (10.2 cm) in garter st
