Emmy's Blanket
Emmy’s blanket began before she was born. I wanted to create a personalized blanket for my daughter’s first child. I played with color, design, and techniques trying to make the perfect blanket. I ripped out and started over several times. I even put this to rest for a few months.
My point of this story is that sometimes the process of creating comes easier than others. You can’t rush the outcome. I am very happy with “Emmy’s Blanket.” Slip stitches give it a woven like, dimension and the finishing application of the duplicate stitch adds a personal touch. The result is a soft, beautiful blanket for Emmy’s first birthday.
