Construction
The inner bag (lining) is knitted first, worked from the bottom up in the round. Inner bag is cast/bound off using applied i-cord technique. Then stitches are picked up from the applied i-cord to knit the outer (lace) layer. The outer layer is knitted from top to bottom in the round. The piping is knitted at the same time using intarsia method (yes, intarsia in the round!). Bottom piping is an i-cord three needle bind-off (oh my!).
Pattern includes full instructions for the techniques involved.
