free Ravelry download
Elly is a very versatile crescent shawl, worked from the lace edge up and shaped with short rows in the stockinette central portion.
The shawl can be worked in any weight, from a whisper-thin cobweb neckerchief to a cushy, textured worsted weight shawl. Instructions for yarn needs, suggested needles and final size are given for all yarn weights.
Three versions are included: Regular version, using high texture twisted rib, a “lazy” version with all-purled WS, and a “dressed” version, embellished with beads.
There is sure to be an Elly version to suit your taste!
Check out the designer’s blog for a photo gallery of Elly finished objects by the testing pool - in many versions and colors.
