This hat combines my favorite aspects of lace and cable knitting: simple patterns combined to create an intricately shaped accessory. Decreases are worked at the hat sides inward for the crown shaping, creating a hat that can be worn higher on the crown for a structured baggy look, or lower for a close-fitting beanie.
