Effu Bandana
My quest for bad hair day cures continues. This pattern is for a kerchief or bandana that has a subtle nod to the lighter naughty side of life. The spike stitch pattern looks a lot like a middle finger repeat that can be played up with color choices. I have made many of these in the past few years as special orders for everything from Pride parades to single color versions to be worn by a rebel at their job.
Please note that while it is not a necessity, I recommend using the Original Cordsmith from www.byautumn.com for a professional finished look. Notes are included for a foundation single crochet tie base, but all photos are done with the Original Cordsmith to make the I-cord. This is my personal preference, as well as my customers’ because it just looks and works best for this application.
This pattern is a great sock/fingering weight yarn stash buster.
I have included some suggestions of the leftover stash yarns that I used in the pictured examples.
