Elegant fingerless mitts, perfect for cool autumn mornings.
The days are starting to shorten and the cooler weather is arriving. These gorgeous mitts come in three sizes and two lengths. They are perfect for dressing up an outfit, or adding a touch of class to your early autumn wardrobe. An elegant design with mirrored cabled details that flow along the arm and around the thumb. The perfect accessory to take you from summer to autumn.
Materials
Ginger’s Hand Dyed Yarn Sturdy Spledor DK
(100 g / 3.53 oz, 250 m / 273 yds, 75% merino / 25% silk), 1 skein
Sample shown in the colourway ‘Dove’
Long (approx 70g, 175m / 191 yds)
Short (approx 50g, 125m / 137 yds)
3.5mm / US 4 needles suitable for working in the round
Waste yarn for thumbs and cast off hem
Two stitch markers
Tapestry needle
2.5mm / US 1.5 needle (for finishing only)
Gauge
24 sts and 36 rows = 10cm / 4” in reverse stocking stitch knitted in the round
Row gauge is important to achieve the same length as the sample.

Pattern notes
The mitt is knitted from the cuff to the hand.
The hems are worked as the piece is knitted so there is no sewing involved. Detailed tutorials are included at the end of the pattern.
Each mitt has separate instructions as the cable details are mirrored. Written instructions are also included for all charted sections.
