Edgewater Braids
Horseshoe cables alternate with panels of Stockinette on this oversized pullover knit in La Gran. La Gran was the very first yarn from Classic Elite in the early 1980’s and although the palette changes as time goes by La Gran remains a stalwart basic in todays roster of Classic Elite yarns. Warm and lightweight, mohair knits up quickly and, contrary to popular belief, is a great yarn for novice knitters – the mohair’s halo hides uneven stitch tension beautifully.
Designed by Kristin Nicholas in 1990, Edgewater Braids is knit in pieces and seamed and has drop shoulder sleeves and funnel neck. The fit of the sleeve is slightly slimmer in this new version, for a more modern silhouette, and we’ve added two additional sizes to ensure a fit just right for all.
Kristin Nicholas was creative director of Classic Elite Yarns from 1984 to 2001. She is author of many wonderfully creative and colorful books. Check in on what Kristin is up to now on her website http://kristinnicholas.com or blog: http://getting-stitched-on-the-farm.blogspot.com.
