When someone you love needs a hug but they’re too far away, it can be heartbreaking. A real hug might come at too high a price; a ten hour road trip, a plane ticket, crossing oceans and deserts. The Eden came from that inspiration. A friend needed a hug and I wasn’t able to wrap my arms around her. My solution was a knitted hug that can be wrapped around her whenever she needs a hug from me. The Eden can be knit up as a draping infinity scarf that loops once or twice around, or as a single skein cowl. Simple texture stitches make it easy to memorize and interesting to knit. The movement of the textures around the circle make a simple cowl or scarf into a beautiful everyday piece for any wardrobe.
