Easy Stranded Cowl
Fast, easy colorwork! This cowl is knitted in the round and makes a great introduction to the stranded knitting technique. The pattern provides directions for cowls in 2 gauges (models show both).
Other materials required are US size 11 (for chunky version) or 13 (for superbulky version) 24-inch circular needles, stitch marker, and row counter. Models each took approximately 3 hours to knit and finish off.
Gauge for superbulky version = 2.5 sts per inch on US 13 needles worked in color pattern.
11-2017 update includes instructions to knit the superbulky version, as well as tips on reading the color charts and some general clarifications.
I suggest keeping floats somewhat loose as tight floats can dramatically affect the finished size of your cowl.
Thank you for selecting this pattern, I hope you enjoy making it as much as I have! I can’t wait to see your pictures!
