Basic crochet skills are all it takes to make these Easy Little Crochet Baskets. Using just single crochet and small amounts of yarn, you’ll be soon be turning these out by the dozen! They’ll hold your crochet hooks, pencils, paperclips, glasses, keys, or tiny treasures.
Round, Oval, and Square-to-Round shapes offer some fun variety.
The baskets pictured used raffia “yarn” for a unique look, but these work equally well with any medium weight yarn you have on hand.
Size doesn’t matter, and gauge isn’t very important, making these a perfect project for new crocheters.
The samples pictured used a raffia yarn, but any medium-weight yarn will work, as long as you use a hook that creates a stiff fabric. This pattern is also offered as a free pattern on edieeckman.com, without the stitch diagrams that are available in the pdf version.
