Easy Fingerless Mitts loom knit conversion
Pattern by Staci Perry, www.verypink.com
Converted to loom by Kristen Mangus (with permission), www.goodknitkisses.com
This pattern was originally made on needles and can be downloaded at the following link where a video tutorial on DPN (double pointed needles) is for your convenience. If you have wanted to try DPN before, this is a great simple pattern to start. Thank you Staci for allowing me to translate your lovely pattern! http://verypink.com/2013/05/01/easy-fingerless-mitts/
Loom: Knitting Board Sock Loom 2 or 3/8” gauge adjustable loom. Could also use the AllnOne loom. http://www.knittingboard.com/product_p/sockloom_2.htm
Yarn: original pattern calls for worsted weight, Aran or 10 ply. A Bulky was used in samples - Cascade 128 Superwash Multis 114 Grapes 1 skein. http://www.cascadeyarns.com/cascade-128superwash_multis.asp
Sizing: Pattern written for women’s sizing. For larger sizing see notes. The mitts are quite stretchy and can even fit as young as a 5 year old.
Note that sample made in regular size fits a youth of age 8 comfortably shown on model in photography. Sample also fits me but would be more comfortable in larger size with longer body length. My hands are larger like a man’s (knuckles 8” circumference). Use as a guide of making for a man or large mitt.
