PATTERN INFORMATION
Made in chunky weight wool, Easy Brioche Scarf knits fast and is very warm. It is an easy knit - all you need to know is how to knit, purl and work yarn-overs. The scarf is reversible - both sides are identical.

Skills needed
Cast on, knit, purl, yarn over, bind off.

Size
Width: 18 cm/7 in.
Length: approx 170 cm/ 67 in. You can easily change the length by working more or fewer rows (this will change the yarn amount you will need).

Gauge
Approx 9 sts and 12 rows per 10 cm/ 4 in, in brioche st, measured before blocking. Gauge is not crucial in this pattern.

Materials
Yarn: approx 285 m/ 300 yds of chunky weight yarn, e.g. Malabrigo Chunky (100% merino wool, 95 m/ 100 yds per 100g). (I used a discontinued yarn from my stash that knits at the same gauge as Malabrigo Chunky.)
Needles: 8 mm (US size 11) straight needles.
