Ok Dwalin is such a boss in the Hobbit movies; I’m so envious of this killer hand armor! These hand warmers are not really for the severe cold since they are open on the palms, but they’ll keep your hands warm while still affording you grip of your palms and fingers. I’m told that is so you can still wield your ax in battle! Or keep hold of your steering wheel, although that is much less exciting.

The sizing on this pattern span from a small woman up to a large man. Make sure you check your palm measurement to ensure you are casting on for the right size! This unisex pattern looks just as great on a man as it does on a woman.

There are 2 stitches featured in this pattern that are technically Brioche stitches. Don’t feel discouraged if you’ve never worked Brioche before! This pattern is meant for knitters who are unfamiliar with Brioche knitting. You’ll pick this up in no time! I have made a handy little tutorial to help you figure it out. View it here:
