A modern take on the traditional drop-shoulder fisherman’s rib pullover, a boxy, cropped fit, graceful scooped neckline, and slim tapered sleeves make Dunstan a cozy catch indeed. Worked in tuck stitch, a relative of brioche, woolen spun Shelter or Tones knit up into a luxuriously plush fabric with plenty of warmth. Pop it over snowy-crisp cotton shirts or well-worn flannels for holiday parties and weekend excursions alike.

Construction

  • The body of this sweater is worked from the bottom up beginning with a split hem; the sleeves are worked top-down. The front and back hems are worked separately, then joined to work the body in the round to the underarms. Front and back are then divided and worked flat separately to the shoulders. The neckband and sleeves are picked up and worked circularly.
