Doug Fir Socks
This pattern was originally published as the January 2013 pattern for Twisted’s 2013 Sock Club.
Having recently seen the enormous Douglas Fir trees that are native to the Pacific NW, I was stunned by their majestic size. Tall beyond belief, they reach to the heavens in a swath of green. The happy green of The Plucky Knitter’s Circa 1962 colorway immediately carried my imagination to a Doug Fir forest whose trees were decked out with a full complement of birds and creatures in fine holiday fashion!
