dot knots cardi
Dot Knots is one of my favorite pattern stitches! It is a simple-to-work faux bauble that adds such wonderful texture to spice up otherwise simple garments. I have used it in both baby and kid sweaters and now I have designed a simple, everyday cardigan! I wanted something that I could wear with skirts or jeans, so it has a traditional fit and length.
Knit in worsted weight yarn, DOT KNOTS is knit in pieces from the bottom up. I knit my DOT KNOTS in the amazing Viola MCN Worsted, which is what I would call a heavy DK/light worsted weight and has just enough color variation to make the dots particularly special. In fact, I loved the yarn so much that, after photographing my first DOT KNOTS, I frogged and re-knit it in a size that fit me!
