Divergence Mitts
The Divergence Mitts began with a skein of yarn that I bought from my friend, Vicki, the dyer behind Songbird Fibres. I adore birds, more so since my little yellow canary flew into my garage that cold winter of December 2014 hurt and cold, needing a place to stay. I named him Sunny, he recovered and has brought such joy to my life. When I found out that Vicki was dyeing yarn and finding color inspiration from birds, I knew I wanted to design something in her beautiful yarn! I chose to design a pair of fingerless mitts with an intuitive slip stitch cable panel that is off-set on each stockinette stitch mitt. I wanted something simple and enjoyable to make but not compete with the beautiful colors. I hope you love these mitts as much as I do!
