If you use worsted weight yarn Aran, #4) and crochet hook G-6 (4.00 mm) to H-8 (5.00 mm), the Rose flower is approximately 3” (7.5 cm) in diameter.

Try to make the center in a different shade (darker or lighter) to create an additiuonal dimention and depth for the flower.

The crochet pattern is universal: you can use any weight yarn to make the flower smaller of bigger (even the crochet tread) - the flower will turn out beautiful, big or small.
