Difficulty: Beginner

Inspired by the beautiful tile work in Morocco, these coasters draw on their diamond lattice motifs. If the crochet version is too open for you, this knit version is a more solid design. This pattern uses eyelets and slipped stitches to showcase both the diamond design and the shifting colors of Darn Good Yarn’s variegated silk yarns.

Finished Measurements: Six 4.5”x4.5” Coasters & One 9.25”x9.25” Mat, blocked

2 skeins Darn Good Yarn DK Weight
4mm / US 6 Knitting Needle
Stitch Markers & Yarn Needle

Stitch Gauge:
stockinette, 16 st & 28 rows = 4”x4”

Helpful Notes: This pattern has 3 rows of garter stitch at the top and bottom for a border and 2 garter stitches each as left and right borders. I like to keep track of the center of each diamond with a stitch marker, personally.
