Delight
This delightful one skein shawlette is worked from tip to tip in a yarn of your choice. The i-cord edge makes for a nice finishing, and a simple lace border gives a feminine touch. You can add beads for some extra sparkle, or leave them out.
The clever construction using short rows, combined with weighing the yarn periodically, makes it easy to use a yarn with any yardage. You won’t run out along the way!
The samples are made in one skein of fingering weight yarn.
You can also use more than one skein for a bigger shawl, or a yarn of a different weight. Please note that with yarn substitution, the yardage needed for a good sized shawl(ette) may vary - also, if you’re using beads, make sure to adjust the bead size and amount accordingly.
Note: For a single skein fingering weight shawlette, you’ll need about 20-30g of size 6 beads.
This pattern has been tech edited and tested. A big thanks to everyone involved!
