Delicate Knitted Shawl (Branch Lace Stitch) is the 2nd Version of this design using a different yarn.

This Shawl was first inspired to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Although one size it could of course be made shorter if desired.

I wanted to produce something that I thought could be enjoyed by a wide range of ages, on a variety of occasions and a shawl was the perfect choice.

Pink (Samite) was chosen this time by Blacker Yarns, which is a blend of wool and recycled silk. I really love this fashionable deeper pink for this festive time of year. It also compliments many other colours and will add warmth when worn with casual dress, or when you dress up for a more formal event. The yarn we have chosen is something light and lacy for a delicate accompaniment to any outfit - a lightweight 4-ply yarn, with 15% recycled silk.

The scarf/wrap commanded an elegant design, with a delicate border. The pattern has been developed using the Branching Lace Stitch, which is a good introduction to lace knitting. The shawl can be worn in a number of different ways for a chic and dignified look.

As I have said in the pattern, always do your Tension Square and adjust as stated, if need be.
Yarn: For the best results, I have recommend the really beautiful Blacker Yarns ‘Samite’ Pure Wool and 15% recycled silk yarn
Ball/Skein Length: c.100g c.360m (c.393yds)
Finish (Woollen or Worsted): Woollen
Handle: Fine

Blacker Yarns specialise in breed specific British Wool yarn all spun and processed in Cornwall and consist of 100% natural fibres.

The pattern could be knitted with other 4-ply wool, but do your test square first to ensure you are going to have enough yarn.

The pattern uses:

200g of 4-ply yarn (85% Wool & 15% Recycled Silk)
You will also need 8 stitch markers and a wool needle to sew together
