Del mar is a beautiful scarf reminiscent of waves crashing on sandy shores. There are two wave options; carefree Rolling Waves or tack down your waves for Calm Seas (Calm Seas shown in top three photos). The download includes a written pattern with charts. The pattern is easily adjustable to make it longer or shorter. Make yours in just about any weight or any fiber yarn. Shown in DK cotton, cotton blend yarn.
SIZING: One size fits most. Before blocking, 55” long, after blocking, 60” long
SKILL LEVEL: Easy/intermediate
GAUGE: Exact gauge is not essential. If your gauge is close to stated gauge, your finished scarf will be close (after blocking) to the reported measurements. Each motif, 3” by 6” at widest point
SUPPLIES: Knit Picks, CotLin (light-3), 70% Tanguis Cotton, 30% Linen yarn in Surf #U070 50g, 123yds per ball
• 2 balls, estimated total yarn 90g 222yrds
• G (4.0 mm) Hook or size needed to obtain correct gauge
• Stitch markers, yarn needle, blocking materials
NOTES:
Pattern is written using US terms.
Scarf is worked in one piece.
An edging is added along the length of the scarf to keep the “waves” in position.
