Dawning
Dawning is a wonderfully simple cardigan with no purling needed:) It is knit flat from the top down with worked in pockets in lovely, cozy garter stitch.
Finished Measurements at bust- 33 ¾ (36 ½, 40, 43 ½, 47 ¼, 50 ¾, 53 ¼, 57, 60 ¼)”
Shown with 5” of positive ease.
Materials:
Haymarket by Lorna’s Laces (100% Blue Faced Leicaster; 100g skein = approx 215 yards)
• 5 (5, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 8, 9) skeins Grand Street Ink
• Approx yards- 990 (1085, 1215, 1300, 1415, 1545, 1610, 1715, 1830)
Needles:
• One 29” circular (circ) needle size US 8 (5 mm). (Piece is worked flat, circ needle is used to accommodate large number of sts)
Or size to obtain gauge.
• One 29” circ needle size US 9 (5.5 mm). (For collar)
Notions:
• Stitch markers
• Large stitch holders or waste yarn
• Tapestry needle
Gauge: 18 sts and 30 rows = 4” in Garter Stitch. Take time to save time, check your gauge.
