After Rnd 2, pattern should read as:
Continue working chart until Rnd 17. There should be 12 sts between markers. 50 sts total
Rnd 17: K19, slip 12 sts onto 2 safety pins (6 sts on each), cast on 2 sts to close gap, k19. Continue the pattern across the 2 new sts. 40 sts total
After Rnd 18, there should be 38 sts total.

Be careful not to get lost in their big bashful eyes. Knitted in the round with 100% wool, these fingerless mitts are perfect for wearing during the spring and fall.
Finished Size 
Length: 20.5 cm / 8”. Width: 8 cm / 3”. Thumb: 3 cm / 1”
Yarn 
Cascade 220 & 220 Heathers (100% wool; 100 g = 200 m / 220 yds) One Skein of each colour, A: Olive 9448, B: Turtle 2452, C: Natural 8010, D: Alki, 2443, E: Ash 8013.
Needles & Notions 
3.5mm (US 4) & 4.5mm (US 7) DPNs or correct size to obtain gauge. 2 Safety pins, darning needle, 71 cm / 28” of black worsted weight yarn for embroidery.
Gauge 
24 sts per 10 cm / 4” in pattern on 4.5mm (US 7)
Notes 
If you’re knitting more than three sts of the same colour, tack 
down the second colour on the WS to prevent long floats. 
Break your yarn if you won’t be using that colour in the next 
several rounds, leave a tail to weave in later. If you would like a 
smaller fit you can drop the needle size down to 3.25mm (US 3) 
& 4mm (US 6).
