The very simple pattern makes a delicate shawl with a rippled edge, it reminded me of watching little waves dancing back and forth across the sand.
This is a great first lace project for an adventurous beginner and the pattern has both full written instructions and a chart for the lace section.
Beading is optional and there are written instructions for how to bead the knitting as you go.
Skill level:
Adventurous beginner wanting to try a simple lace pattern up to experienced knitters. The lace pattern is very simple, the pattern is only worked on the right side with WS row purled.
Required stitches:
Knit, Purl, k2tog, ssk and yo.
Yarn requirements:
Designed to be made from a single skein or less (400m) of yarn.
This pattern looks great in a gradient yarn. It is designed to be knitted with a single skein or less, if you use a gradient and have a small amount left additional garter rows at the end of the pattern add a lovely touch.
