Dallas
My Father, Dallas, was a farmer in west central Wisconsin. Among the
crops my Father planted was corn. Row after row of corn. As a child, my Brother and I would run up and down the rows and play hide and seek, or monsters, or some other silly thing. I lost my Father several years ago to cancer, but, while I was designing this small shawl, and knitting the parallel rows, I thought of him and all that corn.
